What you need + how to prepare for class


SPACE

We recommend creating a space where you can minimize distraction. A home sanctuary that is big enough for a yoga mat where you can stretch your arms out wide + move freely.

 

PROPS

Most classes will incorporate free weight training and/or resistance bands + will always be notated in the class description. If you don't have weights, don't fret, you can always modify by using the strength of your own body or play like the good 'ol days of the pandemic + grab some soup cans or wine bottles ;) Prenatal + postnatal clients should have either yoga blocks or a pillow/bolster on hand to assist with stretching + avoid laying flat (depending on where you are in the pregnancy).

  • "Light Weights" 2-5 lbs

  • "Medium Weights" 5-8 lbs

  • "Heavy Weights" 8-10 lbs

  • Resistance Bands (light/medium/heavy weight)

  • Yoga Blocks

  • Prenatal or Postnatal pillow or bolster

  • Yoga Mat

  • Don't forget your water!

 

FOOTWEAR

We like to do class in bare feet to better feel grounded with the floor, but sneakers are a fine option too if you prefer!
